Yesterday wasn’t that good a day. It must hav been the worst [last day of term] day. I spent the whole morning worrying and panicking about the English assignment since the instructions weren’t clear and I didn’t really know what to do (and yesterday was the deadline!). The day started with a disciplinary action in the hall (not on me!), and then it was our physics practical. It was quite easy, as little knowledge of content was needed. After breezing through the practical, we rushed for PE. Since the NAPFA tests were over, and it was already the last day of the term, Mr Romi allowed us to do any sports we wanted. I joined the pple playing basketball. Did fine, but got scratched on my right hand by. Someone. Violent. And later, my nail on my left thumb started bleeding. And it was caused by. someone. Violent. My nail got slightly separated from the flesh. It was painful, so I couldn’t play anymore. Wth. Did my best to wash the wound, but there were still traces of blood. During recess, on my way back to class, I suddenly remembered leaving my uniform on the canteen bench. Sprinted back, and found nothing. I asked around, but to no avail. Decided to run around the school asking. Chanced upon a band (called XD if im not wrong XD) playing at the atrium. (marcus was in the band) So I stopped to appreciate the music. Coincidently, I saw Shaun, and greeted him. He passed me my uniform. I had an ‘omg, how lucky am I’ kind of expression. Thanks a lot, Shaun!

After enduring the thumb pain throughout recess, it got better during lessons. I was thinking how fortunate I was to hav injured my left thumb instead of the right, cos I wouldn’t be able to write then. X)
Lol, during english I sat beside yh for the first time since we changed the seating plan last week. Haha, didn’t blame him for causing me slight lonliness, cos he was sick. And phew, Ms Koh told us that there was extension for English assignment! To next Friday. =D
Chem was quite good, we learnt a lot of interesting stuff from the sour teacher. “Primary School kids also know this”.
After a quick lunch, I chionged to chem lab to test out the chem car that we built on thurs. lol. We kept changing chemicals, from peroxide, to citric acid, to … to acetic acid (vinegar). Why. Why must it be acetic acid?! It stank. We tried very hard to refine our method of release, but… nvm. I shant say too much about this as we didn’t do that well. But the process was fun lar. And we gave the lab techs a really good “aroma-therapy” when we were done. With fatigue, I carried the car and stuff home.
Ok, maybe the day wasn’t THAT bad. Cos some things came out quite well. But for the last day of the term, it’s bad.

Today, Jack and I got to ngee ann poly for the chem car competition. Saw many familiar faces there, and tried to calculate the chances. Gave up trying halfway. And wth, my pro grp member, DoubleH, fell sick. Arg. So we held on tightly to luck, and… yay, we didn’t reach the 10m required. I think 3 teams from ri didn’t too. Cant blame us. We used only two days to build the whole thing, get the formula and chemicals, test and blah. A team reached 10m, but wasn’t top 16, so… oh well. Should’ve sent the science club. X( And in the process, the acid entered my injured nail, and I got a hot, burning sensation. Lol. We received a debrief and analytical session from Mr Koh, and learnt our lessons. We then observed the the other schools’ cars to learn more. Nygh’s teams were omg pro. Many of their teams entered the semis and about 3 of their teams made veryveryvery accurate calculations about the distance. And they dominated the whole competition, sweeping first and second prizes with them. All of us were impressed, and some even promised to return the next year (for the first prize). We went home stinky, again.

Wow. If my blog was a puddle of water, there would have been a dengue breakout already. Sry for not updating my blog. xp. Cos I didn’t have much time and I didn’t feel like updating in the past month or so. Many things happened in the past month, so I guess I’ll just touch on a few.

You might have already received the news that I have transferred to the sprints section of TnF. this is due to the unfortunate closure of the throws section. =( omg, it was so sad lar. but im not the worst affected actually. many people were affected more. like that sec 1 who was committed to throws, and had some long-term leg injuries. he didn’t and doesn’t hav much choices. hope he feels ok. and Jack too. Jack is the most senior and committed thrower to have been affected (sec 4s get to finish their last year). after such a long period of hard work, and then having to switch, its not easy. Jack joined scouts 01 and I, after a long and hard decision, decided to stay in TnF, in a different section. So I had to learn everything starting from the very basics. and since sprinting required very different parts of the body, I had quite a hard time adjusting to their training. I’ve improved slightly, and will continue to work hard! I hav to thank a lot of the TnF pple who helped me greatly, in one way or another. especially Dedrick, who has been teaching, providing me advice, and encouraged me a lot. (ok, I’ll work on my technique, leg power, and confidence!) Thank you!

Oh yea, recently, we had our NAPFA test. I got 29 points. Could’ve gotten 30 if not for my pullups. but im glad I got gold. =D (will try to get 30 points next year!)

(Oh no I cant remember what happened, maybe the exams killed too many of my brain cells... will update here if i remember any)

Random, philosophical section (read this to get a possible headache)
Part 1

I saw Wan Jing saying that she’s a liar. and I randomly thought…
In what situations can someone call himself/ herself a liar?

-A person who speaks the truth, wouldn’t say that he is a liar. (A truthful person would tell the truth that he speaks the truth.)
-A person who tells lies, wouldn’t say that he is a liar. (A liar would not say that he does not tell the truth.)

Therefore, no one can say that they are liars!

However,
This is assuming that a person ALWAYS speaks the truth/ tells lies. (which is not practical in real-life)

Nevertheless, Wan Jing, I believe you are not a liar! =D

Part 2

This part is on why we shouldnt lie.
1. You should do only those actions that conform to rules that you could will to be adopted universally.
2. If you were to lie, you would be following the rule: "It is permissible to lie."
3. This rule could not be adopted universally because it would be self-defeating; people would stop believing one another, then it would be useless to lie. (and the rule would be useless, since it might be a lie)
4. So, you should not lie.

This is adapted from my sec 2 philo course.
