omg. I cant believe there is still traffic (however little) on this site! xp

Manymanymany things happened since my last post, and i dont know which to rant about. Im just going to select randomly and only those that are more recent. Haha theres a reason why this is my blog right. Lets see... how about new moon with p760s? lol.

Arg who directed that movie... I thought it wasnt as good as twilight... Fine, it was even close to the first one. And considering twilight wasnt that great too... you get it. The movie had me bored for ~90% of it. It's not like i need action, but the movie was slow and featured bella's screams, emo-talk and emo-acts. :( And whats worse is that I've read the book, so everything seems predictable and in comparison, really lacking in substance. I kept looking at my watch and saw pple smsing in the theatre. Well, at least it was fun talking to the p760s! haha good company is the cure for a not-so-good movie. And after that, we all went to the ME to ME. haha after this, I can't wait for tmr! :D

A few days before that, was a picnic with the planeteers. Supposedly. Wanted to see those amazing pple again, but realised I've got things before and after that, and could only stay for a while. xp sry guys. I'll see you next year! we're the heroes! lol. :) So, I went to zw's house instead. haha the surprise wasnt that much of one. it was a little awkward, but i was really glad to see everyone again. like really. haha maybe no one knew then, but i was silently recalling the times while watching everything happen. yep, brain tends to work more when im tight-lipped. oh well, even with the lack of convo, i enjoyed the evening and catching up with everyone! thank you pj char ruth zw and family! :D

I'm feeling very random now. And after watching new moon and listening to Mayday's 夜访吸血鬼, I shall write about why vampires are sad creatures, according to the lyrics. I dont know anything about the existence of these creatures, but lets just assume they are real for the sake of my randomness. :P The song is sung from a (humane) vampire's perspective and through this you get to know how tough it is for him.

"I am filled with sadness yet I cant tear, I become irritated and tired but I can never sleep. All I can do is dwell among humans for all the days and nights, and the days and nights to come. I am a bat, but I cant lift my feet off the ground, trapped on the streets eternally. I fight the urge every second and every moment. It seems like all I am made for is to hunt, like I'm inflicted with some curse. I see people I love pass away, and the things I love wear out and forgotten. I am neither blessed with an angel's purity nor do I wield a demon's decisiveness. I am robbed of my ability to age and wither, so why am I still given the beauty of memories and thought?"

Okay randomness ends here. And soon the year too. Now this post. :)

Haha recently I watched an anime I havent come in contact with for quite some time - Code Geass. And I'm really glad I decided to start the second season! :D

Okay, so this anime is about this smart high school guy called Lelouche. He is the son of the emperor of Britannia, but was banished to Japan, which was conquered by Britannia and renamed Area 11. Lelouche has a very sad past, and is struggling to forget it and create a future for him and his beloved sister, who is banished along with him, and is also blind and disabled at the legs. One day, he stumbled upon a girl called C.C and gained this amazing ability from her called the Geass, of which his is The Power Of Kings, which forces others to do his bidding, though there are several weaknesses he has to overcome. And so, in short, he uses this ability to try to change many things in the world, one of which is to rebel against his father, for the liberation of Japan, so that everyone there can lead peaceful lives. He also takes up the persona of a masked leader, Zero. There are too many things so I'm not saying all. :)

The first season left everything off on a cliffhanger, the failure of the black rebellion, capturing of the black knights, the supposed death of Zero, the fate of Suzaku, who presented Zero to the emperor... bleh too many things were left unanswered. So it had me desperate for the second season! haha now after all the work and exams, and 2 days of anime-spamming (aka anime addiction), I'm feeling very contented with the ending of one of the best animes I've watched! It's really smart and unexpected. :D I shan't spoil the show for anyone, so if you're interested, go watch it somewhere! (cant be sure that everyone will enjoy it, but personally, i did! and many did too.)

There are probably hundreds of reasons why I enjoyed watching this anime so much, but here are a few!

- Thought-provoking themes
in this relatively short anime, there are many themes presented, of which includes love & sacrifice, humanity, morality, justice, technology, loyalty, power and truth & lies. For example, the very action of Lelouche using his Geass to force others to do what they do not want, which is quite a common sight in the anime. It can be argued that forcing others to act in this way contributes to a greater justice, but can you thus deny others of free will and commit an injustice towards them? When do you cross the line? And who defines justice?

- Genre mix
a lot of genres are present in code geass, for instance, shounen, mecha, real-life politics, drama, there's some supernatural and romance too. So it should appeal to a large group of viewers! There are the cool combat scenes, the strategic duels, the emotional moments, the stories and explanations, the funny portions... yay. If you dislike some genres, you'll have to bear with it till it goes back to the parts you prefer. But the plot pulls you in, so that isn't much of a worry. (I watched lotsa episodes at one go, which is not recommended.)

- Likable characters
you'll like their characters a lot! okay, maybe its partly due to the artwork (lol, you might see the resemblance in the character figures between this and tsubasa chronicles!) , but still, their personalities are well defined, and its easy to empathise. so you might be happy when they are and feel sad when some characters pass away and stuff.

Great anime! :D
