Yesterday was teachers day! After sleeping for 4 hours, I woke up, and got to school. Slept late because of teachers day celebrations programme preparation, and getting the gifts and cards ready, and woke up early for CEC duty in school. We had to greet, wish and escort teachers upon each of their arrival. Haha, but I thought there were too many people assigned to this. Then we had to escort any random teacher to the hall, giving them gifts, which the Humans club had prepared, on the way. The gifts were good: lunchboxes, untensils... which scrap the need for disposables, saving the environment greatly if all teachers use them. =)

I though the celebration programme was creditable. The theme was: Heroes. And I think they wanted to portray teachers as (Everyday) Heroes, saving the students. They were songs, skits, contests (HEROES VS ZEROES), and lame jokes! Haha, jokes created the necessary atmosphere in a celebration. I had to present Ms Huang (my FT) with the class present at the finale! Haha, she is someone of few words, so she didn’t say much. All she said was, “Thank you! And Jim, remember to study hard ah!” Haha, I was laughing as she was, but trying to figure out the link… Ok, I think found it. She’s a teacher, and teachers are supposed to make students get good results. One way was by studying hard. Went back to my seat and enjoyed what’s left of the celebrations. Then I met up with the ex-rosythians. This year, the group was larger, because of the merging of SE and GE, so we got to know more ex-rosythians. But then we had lotsa time, so we went to do whatever we liked. Jack, Del, YS and I went to the library to watch Stormbreaker. Lol. The Alex Rider book. The plot was good lol. And the main character was cool. so I enjoyed it overall. Just that the air-conditioning in the tech-hive was bad, and I got sick (Literally!). But I guess it was also because of the lack of sleep, which makes your body more vulnerable. So as we waited for others for lunch, I rested as much as I could. Then we all went to j8 for lunch. I tried smthg hot and soupy, hoping it would make me feel better, but I scalded my tongue instead. =/

Then we all took a bus to rosyth, with me, again, sneaking some rest on the bus. We reached and the gate wasn’t open. So we sat on the benches under the void decks. I was like telling myself, CMI lar. I rested again. Then lotsa pple came, and we went in at 1.30. Rosyth's still the same, the I-CARE values and the plump guy from BB painted on the walls of IBC, and the... principal. I was feeling extremely unwell at this point, but couldn’t do anything, as I amused myself with all the familiar faces, unexpected seniors and juniors who were ex-rosythians as well. Chatted a lot, and stoned a lot. Couldn’t help it, I entered trances every few minutes. I felt sick, and thus didn’t go talk to many people whom I wanted to talk to. =/ Saw Mrs Ng, and Lee lao shi! It was nice talking to them! After catching up with many classmates, we saw Mrs Wong! Lol. She permed hair, and looked like she had mixed the wrong chemicals in a lab. She was funny with the sunglasses and mole with hair. We then left and talked under the void deck. Haha, many things to talk about. Later, we went to Hougang Point since we felt sian sitting there. We ate some dessert and talked more before gong separate ways.

Don’t know why Im so busy with teachers day celebrations this year.
- Humans club: designed, printed, and packed cards into gifts for teachers.
- CEC: Got class presents, wrapped, and got card, duties…
- Student: Planning of celebration programmes, prepared individual stuff for my teachers
Omg. I don’t want to write more. These things led me to the little sleeping hours and my illness. Pfft. Hope I recover soon.

And heres wishing a HAPPY TEACHERS DAY! to all teachers in the world. You have enlightened, and made an enduring impression in many lives put under your care. Your contributions to the societies are permanent and crucial. You have made the world a better place, whether directly or indirectly. Thank you! =D
