Today's another day of PSL meetings. Met up with all the PSLs at the LT and the different comms took turns presenting bout their plans and stuff. First day, Camp, Jric, Orient package... Everything was ok, and I thought some parts were quite well done. One of the exceptions was the shirt. Im extremely sorry, but it looked really not-so-good. With the talents in the team, and all the resources, I thought they could've done A LOT better. Dunno what problem they faced. The bad thing's that the shirts are already printed... argh. I cant imagine the new sec 1s and the PSLs wearing those. X(
We also had a short cheering + batch song session. Was quite enjoyable. Did the classic raffles cheers, some new ones plus our batch song, which we'll be passing on to the new batch. =)

Then Jack, Shaun, Jonsee, Weilun and I went to j8 for lunch, buying movie tickets on the way. Haha had lunch at long john's. and jonsee was a mess. took fries with chilli, but accidently spilt it on his pants. then took fish with chilli, and spilt it again. lol. we all finished up our food, and were sipping the drinks. just when we thought everything was over, he spilt his milo over his pants. wth. the 'design' was quite cool. and he was like wthing and trying to think of ways to hide the stains. He pulled his pants up and tucked his shirt out to cover it. wee, simple. as we were walking around, we saw the head prefect. lol. told him the story, and he answered," Tuck out your shirt my foot!" haha, poor jonsee had to use his bag to cover the stains as we walked. he even wanted to buy shorts, but was 'shorta' short of cash. lol. He wouldnt have ended up like that if he had listened to my advise. tsk. he should've used the chilli sauce to write "Raffles Art Club: on his pants. Not only does that increase the school's popularity, it is cool and a great way to turn the messy stains into highly valued and appreciated abstract art.

So, we walked around a little, and went to the library to read (and talk/joke with more RI pple) till we had to go to the movie theatre. Weilun went off to meet some other pple. Watched Bedtime Stories. haha I liked the funny parts. thought the ending was bad (as in the plot ending was good, happily-ever-after, but I didnt like how it went) and some parts unrealistic. ok, maybe thats how things are supposed to be in movies about stories, fairy tales, fables and so on.

argh, school's starting in a week.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
haha, here's wishing everyone lotsa joy this festive season!

Recently, I've been caught up with the PSL stuff. Sec 1 registration, PSL workshop, camp dry run and more. Sec1 registration was fun cos we could have a 'sneak preview' of the new sec1s. and it was pleasant interacting with the sec 1s, and the other visitors too. lol, the 'advisory duty' went well - talked bout books, studies, uniform, teachers and stuff. XD Though it might be difficult, I thought the planning could be improved. We cant hav the new sec 1s and guests taking half the same long route that we take everyday: from canteen to raja block. especially when they would be carrying their books... =( Haha now Im looking forward to the sec 1s in my support class. Lol, after that, Jack and I went to Shaun's house for anime appreciation. XD

The workshop was a little boring. I was listening attentively (i think) until the middle, when I started to lose it. Talked to Jonsee a little. And then I caught on at the last part. The contents were ok, but the presentor could've worked on some of her presentation skills.

Yep, so the orientation camp dry run starts tmr. Wonder what the camp comm has planned...

Haha, today was ok. In the morning, we packed Christmas hampers needed for collection today, which involved many complicated processes. Waiting for the things to get ready from other departments, getting food, wrapping, sealing, sticking, sometimes tying ribbons… blar its not easy. Then, I went on a short delivery trip with Hannah to deliver two extremely attractive Christmas hampers. Haha, one was the rectangular orange box while the other was the round silver box. One to a company, the other to a residence. We went past rirghcinyghrgpsnjcscgsacs and manymany more schools. Joined Jack and Martin back in the Discovery Room after informing Jack (the manager).

During lunch, we met 2 of our RI seniors and ate together. Someone was cocky and got a little AP. Pissed another one off. 2 were trying to calm things. Last one couldn’t care less. It was quite fun talking to them. Wee afternoon was quite boring cos we were packing quite a lot of stuff. Haha, following that, we waited at the HR office hoping for the ‘tour’ around the hotel Elisa promised us (after we begged lol). She was in a meeting so we had to wait about half an hour. But it was ok, cos I found it extremely interesting listening to what and how they speak there. Haha humorous stuff. So we spent the time laughing at the people. Then she was ready and did all the arrangements.

Ok. We went up to see the rooms. They were quite cool. Looked very luxurious. But some of the rooms were slightly small. The views were nice and they have extremely nice beds. Seriously. Those that sink in went you lie in them, and applies the right force at parts of your body, making the whole thing very comfortable. Bleh Im not sure how to describe, you’ve got to try. Then we proceeded to the outlets. The restaurants, bars, spas… lol. Their restaurants are all dam nice. Pity we didn’t bring cameras. Elisa didn’t allow us to enter the bars, or else we’ll have a nice trip behind bars. We saw lotsa things but I shant write all cos Im really tired now. -_-zZ

Ok, so today’s best part was without a doubt, the tour. Thank you, Elisa! And sorry for taking up your time, we know you have lotsa work to do!

Off to sleep now. Got more work tomorrow!

Lol. Felt like posting this although Jack has already posted it. Cos its amusing to look at our uniform. (This is in the room which we use to pack the christmas stuff.)

Lol. If you're wondering why I havent been going on to messenger these days, Im currently in the work exposure programme by our school. so I've been attached to Mandarin Oriental Hotel, together with Jack, Shaun-s, Martin, Matthew, Ed, and Leonard-s.

On the first day, only Jack, Shaun-s, Martin, Matthew and I went. so we got "directed" to the staff entrance. we met the person-in-charge of us, Mrs Teo, and our "大姐", Elisa. Haha, HR people. after some intro and stuff, we went for uniformfitting. Since Jack, Shaun, Martin and I got put to festive department, we got the common uniform, long-sleeved black shirt with black pants and short apron. i liked it. Shaun and Matthew, working at the international buffet restaurant, MELT, got some red shirt, and pants with some thin red stripes and long apron. haha. but they all looked cool. we got seperated into two groups and went to meet our managers. haha, dont know how theirs went, but we met our manager, Jack (coincidently haha), outside the pastry kitchen. though hes not a chef/baker. after introduction, we went to do lotsa christmas-y stuff. like santa's little elves. XD For the last few days, I have tried lotsa things, from packing cookies, tying ribbons, washing dishes, setting up tables, to doing deliveries, folding napkins... the list goes on. You cant tell by reading, but it has been a truly interesting and eniriching experience. I have learnt a whole lot. We've also got the chance to meet and work with many different people, from different countries, different backgrounds, different races, different ages, different gender, different personalities (emphasized by Mrs Teo, lol). I have to say that everyone there has been really really nice to us. And I cant thank them enough. Cindy, Elisa, Jack, Hannah, Esther, Ricky, Albert, James... to name a few. =D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELISA!
enjoy your 'appointment'!
