Sry for not updating for the past days, but I was really very busy.
Today, my bro, my cousins, their friend, my aunt and I went for a captain's ball competition. We were supposed to form a team of seven, so, my bro, my cousins, their friend and I formed a team. My aunt went there to support us. We reached there at bout 8.40am which was like very early cause the first match started bout an hour later. There were eleven teams there, and they were divided into two groups: A and B. A consisted of six teams and B consisted of the other five. the two best teams from each group would proceed to the finals. I think my team played extremely well + we had the youngest players - me and jack. We played with the other five teams in our group and, we won three matches, lost two. So, we didnt get into the finals. the two teams that we lost to, got in. I was ok when we lost the first time, cause they really played fair and well (we were playing with a team that consisted a lot of tall pple. the tallest one was bout... 1.9m I think. now i know wat it feels to play against a tall person... lol.). However, I HATED the second lost!!! (rarely see me so angry, yea?)
The other team had this fat girl that was the net (the person on the chair). and she acted like she was very pro and pretty. another thing i hated bout her: she was vulgar. (btw, i wasnt playing that match.) One of my cousins was defending. when he jumped up and deflected the ball away when the ball was reaching her (like what I always did last year, if u hav played with me, u would know), he accidently knocked her lightly. then, she scolded him very vulgarly and loudly. I heard every word clearly and was fuming with anger. but of course i didnt do anything and tried to stay calm. the referee only asked her to cool down, but scolded my cousin for being too close to the net. I was really bu shuang then. (if I was the referee, I would scold her and send her off the court) After that, my cousin was like, afraid of that fat pig, so he didnt defend properly, and let in every shot. So, we lost and didnt get into the finals.
In the end, we still left there proudly because we played beautifully (as in we had the sportmanship). Then, we went to a macdonald's nearby and took our lunch. while eating, we saw the fat pig amd her team leaving, and the other teams were still there. haha..., they didnt win, too bad, so sad. (Defeated by teams with better attitude and skills)
Moral of the story: In a captain's ball match, skills are important but sportmanship is even more important.
anyway, the competition was fun! I hope I can participate in more of this kind of activities and also that i can play with my rosyth friends like we did last year.

I came back from NPCC camp yesterday. my whole body was aching and i was damn tired when i reached home.
On the first day, we had PT, icebreakers, then we played some games, followed by drills and campcraft... (forgot). Then, we had an activity called "HELL HOUR". that was really bad... we basically had to do everything the HO (Honory Officer or smthg liddat) asked us to do. at the end of the hour, we had eggs splattered over our heads and shirts, whole body covered in flour, grass, soil and mud, and we were all exhausted... (ask me in messenger if u wanna know wat happened) then, we bathed and had dinner (btw, we had been eating instant noodles for most of our meals at the camp). after that, we had another drill session followed by a fun game.
i hav to say that the game was fun. firstly, we had to pick a piece of paper out from a box. then we took a look at it. a hero's name was written on it (the heros' name were adapted from an online game called DOTA [defence of the ancient] i think) then we had to take out our shirts and tuck it in our shorts behind us like a tail. when the game starts, we r supposed to look for others with the same hero name, without being caught by sec 3s (when they pull out ur shirt from ur shorts, u r considered caught). if u r caught, u hav to go to a place called "happyhappyland" where u hav to do wat the seniors say, and when they r satisfied, they will let u go. when u hav gathered everyone with the same hero name, the whole group must move together to look for the camp commandant. when u find him with ur whole group, ur group of heros win the game. the fun part is that there r spell papers pasted all around the school. if u manage to find 1, u get to keep it. if a sec 3 is chasing after u, u may throw the spell paper on the floor and shout out the spell written on it to cast it. then the sec 3 has to do wat is written on the paper. (for example, frost, sec 3 cant move his legs for 5 secs. eternal bind, sec 3 must stand up straight and cant move for 10 secs. wheel of death, sec 3 must stop chasing after u and go back to his starting point. [a very strong spell] There r still many others but i shall not list them all)
guess wat? i got an evil hero called "lich". omg. anyway, in the end, nobody won cause there were too many sec 3s.
after that, we went to wash up, pack our stuff for the second and third day, as we would be spending them at pasir ris park and it was time for lights out.The second day, we had our morning PT, then got our things and started the hike. we hiked all around singapore (at least i thought we did). we carried our heavy backpacks and walked under the sun for bout 8.5 - 9 hours. of course with a 20 min lunch break in the middle. we hiked to places like HDB hub, thai embassy, ACS (barker), RGS, takashimaya (not to shop, went in just to meet our seniors and to prove that we reached there) and singapore arts museum. oh yea, not forgetting the last stop which was pasir ris park. after we reached there, we pitched our tents and had our dinner (again, we cooked instant noodles). after dinner, they gave us half an hour to think of and rehearse an item for the campfire at night (my group decied to perform a skit). then we had a cheer session for us to learn new cheers and help us refresh those that we hav already learned. then we got some stuff and went to the campfire site. after the wonderful campfire, we had our night confidence activity. we were blind folded and had to hold onto the person in front of us. then we had to go through obstacles, walk up and down hills... basically, u just hav to listen to the instructions of person in front of u so that u wont get injured. after that, we washed up, and went to sleep. and they told us that we could wake up at 8 am tmr. woo...hoo! i was so happy. The next day...

Last day of camp, 6am: FIRE DRILL.
wth... we had to fall in at a field beside our campsite when we were all half asleep. to make matters worse, some pple were at the toilet. so, not everyone were at the field -> got punished. if i remember correctly, it was 50 pushups. the difficult part was... we were all half asleep and had little energy. then, we had PT and i was like...omg. we just finished the pushups and u want us to do PT!!!!
but luckily, i survived it. yay. then, we had... a waterbomb fight! sec 1s vs sec 3s. in the end, we won!!! then we had a game of frisbee, followed by breakfast. guess wats for breakfast? ans: bread. plain bread. plain white bread. enriched plain white bread. but we couldnt complain, it was food, afterall. and it was enough to fill us up. then, we went to the playground area for our scavenger hunt. they gave us riddles and we were supposed to solve them and look for it. after that, we had to run back to our campsite which was approx. 1.8km away. ran. in 5 mins. i didnt time myself, but i think i didnt make it. nvm, the seniors didnt make it as well. lol.we then packed our stuff, unpitched the tents and went to the carpark to wait for the chartered buses. while waiting, there was a prize presentation ceremony. and... my group won the most outstanding group award! this award is awarded to the most outstanding group among the six groups in terms of points earned, teamwork... blah... almost everything we did as a group. i hav to mention my groupmates as they had helped me alot and we survived the camp as a group. thank you: Dennis, Jason, Chen Wei and Yi Oon. We received the Neville Nah (the HO) challenge trophy and a bottle of sprite. the bottle of sprite was like gold to us at that time. we hav been drinking plain water for the past few days and that was the first soft drink we had in days. but our group decided they we wouldnt have got the award without the help of other squadmates, so we shared the bottle of sprite with them too.
we arrived at RI 20 mins later. we cleaned up the classroom that we spent the first night in and kept all the tents, masstins, rations...
this was the end of camp. just as we were leaving, our teacher-in-charge told us that we hav survived camp and he wanted to give us our NPCC uniform to show that we hav successfully passed his test, the camp. i was so happy when i received my uniform. then i went home, with an aching body.
---ok that's all for the camp---
so, 601, r we having class gathering or anything? (omg...i totally forgot bout hw... hav to start working on them now! bye!)
