Firstly, a really happy birthday to Sis, Pei Jia, and Zhi Wei!
(sry, it's happy birthday celebration, since all of you are already born years ago)
Anyway, enjoy yourself on this special day! May all your wishes come true!

yesterday, after lunch, I set off for cck stadium to attend the track and field championships finals, to support the raffles schools of course! but when i reached, i found out that i was there an hour early. xp. i knew i couldnt get into the stadium, cos tickets were needed. so i went to a void deck near the stadium and started reading my erp book. (thank heavens i brought it along!) but, then i got bored, and decided to rest my head on one of those stone tables where the elderly plays chinese chess on. there was graffiti on it. then after a seemingly long wait, it was 2pm and i made my way to the entrance of the stadium to meet up with the other tnf-ers. (it was then that i found out there were stalls there that sold food, where i could have rested before with food, oh well...) we then entered, turned left, to the raffles area. we sat down and chatted since the first few events werent that exciting. later, the stadium became more crowded, and we cheered while watching teammates do their best. I was amazed by all the athletes' speed, strength and stamina. watching them even gave me some kinda aura, that left me breathless watching and cheering for them. i was glad watching the fruits of their hard work. after all the competition, we all went down to the field for the announcement of the results. wee, ri b'div got 2nd and c'div got 5th* if im not wrong. it wasnt bad lar, considering it is still an improvement. good job ritnf! and work harder next year!
*[Jian Wei says its 7th]

lol, when i was there, i saw many friends, but most of them didnt see me. lol. nvm. anyway, i had a good time chatting with those who did. =D After the whole event, national anthem, institution anthem and 'unite', ri and rgs got onto the chartered buses and left for swensens at suntec. everyone was dam noisy and I was one of the few who more quiet. Heres an apology to everyone affected by us! X( there, we got into our tables and ordered food. but there was chaos all around, with some pple pre-ordering food, some ordering on the spot, some running around, some looking for seats... the situation was omg. so the food came late, and some customers complained. arg, sry! but i still enjoyed the tasty food nevertheless. =D spaghetti + frosted chocolate malt!!! i especially liked the heavenly frosted chocolate ice cream thing!

after the food, everyone chatted, and left soon cos it was already quite late. i was one of the last to leave, cos i was waiting for friends, who were busy calculating giant amnts of $ to pay swensens! had to count $ from each table, from ri and rg, and gst, service charge, and some prepaid pple... (jiaxuan had a nice time smelling the notes. lol.) they had a hard time, and so the swensens cashier came. she was really pro and counted the $ like a machine. we were awed. (and also blaming one another for not doing what she did.) after all that, we started heading to the mrt station, but luckily, haozhi was taking cab, so i went with him since i live near him. =D thanks a lot! had a really good time talking to him about how small the world is. and then, before i knew it, i reached home! (and a serious level of fatigue)

Us watching the events.

Philosophy is so FUN. Last Saturday, Jack and I attended the interschool philosophy dialogue, and we were selected for the topic: Girlfriend from Hell. Haha, however intimidating that sounds, it was a really interesting topic about insults and that
- the capacity of the insult to hurt would seem quite independent on of how one regards the words. OR
- insults will only hurt you if you allow them to.

After a long briefing on the community of inquiry, we had a short tea break, and went to the discussion rooms. lol, then many of us found out that our room had only RI and Zhenghua (if im not wrong) guys. it was funny to see how some pple reacted. so, we sat in a circle, no, we sat, forming a circle. then our facilitators arrived and we started introducing ourselves. Apart from the participants and facilitators, we also met Alvin and Celine (couple in a deteriorating relationship), who sparked off our discussion for the day. On and on we discussed, while trying to think well and fast to keep up. At the end of the discussion, I found it a really enriching experience, I discovered new ways of looking at the topic, and learnt a lot from the fellow participants. however, it would have been even better if the zhenghua pple voiced out more. cos for an interschool event, I heard mostly from the RI pple, which was good, but not best.

Whee, today is YOUTH day! I think I do feel slightly more youthful! but most probably because there isn’t school today.
I feel that youth is a time when we are most energetic and courageous, giving us the potential to do lotsa great things! so I urge all youths in the world to seize these advantages, realise each and everyone of your potentials, build the foundations for your future ,and not waste time and these advantages, only to regret in the future. lol. Here’s wishing all youths (or youth-at-hearts) a really joyful and youthful youth day! =D

(there’s no school on Friday too! + APCG’s next week, so the RI guys will be having a long 10 days off! of course, not forgetting the homework which WILL be given…)
